Trumps Win Was A NO Brainer ! A Big Fat Middle Finger To A Part of The Establishment !
The bottom line is we are fed up by the establishment corruption strangling our "democratic ideals" . I look back to the end of April 2016, back then a US presidential election victory by Donald Trump was the remotest of all possibilities according to all my peers and of course mainstream politics and mainstream media. I have never liked Trump on a personal basis but appreciated his achievements. There was no doubt in my mind following Brexit that this man who divides so much opinion would win the US election.
The problem for a lot of people who are bemused by his victory is that they have no means, time or cannot be bothered to appraise the choreographed sleek propaganda that is churned out relentlessly 24/7 by the mainstream media. That is their only source of information. I gave up on mainstream media a long time ago, the condescending bias has become so blatant to be classified as arrogant conditioning and misinformation. Twitter became my mainstay of balancing information analysis and opinion. Not only do you get real people and experts debating real issues as opposed to spoon fed narratives, you also get access to independent non-partisan journalists, media platforms, think tanks and organisations that you would not see mentioned anywhere in the mainstream media or platforms. It was quite interesting to see the frustration of thousands of people following the WikiLeaks publications which none of the mainstream media platforms were reporting on, it was a complete blackout with massive DOS attempts to shut down WikiLeaks, Anonymous and Twitter. There was a moment of lost hope on all the independent debating platforms when Mr James Comey, FBI Director, came out on the last day of campaigning to clear Hilary Clinton of any wrong doing, yet the e-mail scandal running commentaries on Twitter showed the depth of corruption by the Clinton Family and their media, corporate and political chums. The kind usually associated with despots like Robert Mugabe, Museveni, and the Saudi or Qatari Royal families. I must admit it was a clever political maneuvre by Mr. Comey, the Clintons and their establishment backers of diverting attention from daily WikiLeaks publications of the thousands of "deleted" scandalous Hilary Clinton's e-mails.
One thing that’s for sure nowadays is that you definitely don't need to be in government to shape a political debate. What you find online is some whole new different political movements with a cross platform engagement that is unlike anything of the traditional parties. To the British establishment, I say, you can say call "Momentum" or other grassroots movements by any names you want, we expect that but ignoring them is to your own peril. Can Jeremy Cobyn win an election in the UK? I have no doubt in my mind he can, people want real change not descriptions like "populist movements or Trotskyists". The wicked unbalanced attacks and character assassination of Jeremy Corbyn by the British Establishment have been unsuccessful. He was re-elected by his own party with an even greater majority and mandate. Now the establishment media have resorted to ignoring him altogether which doesn't mean much to us anymore. We now have so many ways of communicating and sourcing balanced information that we do not bother paying any attention to mainstream media platforms. WikiLeaks showed how this broken system strategised like the British establishment to smear and assassinate Trump's character in the most deplorable way, but Trump is what he is, what you see on the tin is what you get. The American people saw through all that propaganda. Hilary Clinton had 4 of the 5 major US networks and 8 of the 9 major US publications spewing so much propaganda but still she lost. The magnitude of the loss is unprecedented.Apart from her chequered political history and disconnect with the ordinary people, WikiLeaks revelations also killed off Hilary Clinton hopes.
May I point out that WikiLeaks has had a flawless 10-year history of publishing issues of public importance mostly un-redacted and leaving it to the public to transparently analyse and make their own judgements. That is why open democracy or democratising information is crucial so that governments and those who purport to represent us do not hide their criminal behaviour in our votes and names. Remember how important WikiLeaks influenced the Kenyan election, the Icelandic revolution and now the US election. Press freedom is now a misnomer and we cannot hold our mainstream journalists accountable.
WikiLeaks clearly demonstrated how the mainstream media fabricated those prediction polls which were constantly in her favour by some margin. It also exposed the rigging tactics that the mainstream media, corporates & DNC political elites were engaging in. WikiLeaks also showed the revolving door networks of the mainstream media, corporate, Wall Street & political elites. The Clinton Family is right in the centre of this collusion. Even Google's CEO, Eric Schmidt and other Silicon Valley tech giants are implicated. An analysis of search engines showed the manipulation of searches by Google in favour of Hilary Clinton. To say the Aristocracy is so disconnected with the ordinary people is an understatement. It’s the same situation with the political and business elite in Zimbabwe for example, they would rather bleed the country dry than listen to the populace. This is the kind of stubbornness by the elites that needs a kick in the face and Trump just did that.
Like I said to many of my peers and connections, people are fed up with corrupt establishment politics. I wish people could take time to read independent media outlets, especially the WikiLeaks bombshells. The good thing about independent media the majority are being funded by the people. We are taking matters into our own hands. We have seen how big business and big politics are creating all these Think Tanks, NGO's even human rights organisations that further their own agenda whilst subverting democratic ideals. Twitter is a better guide of people's opinions than mainstream media. Trump is not my cup of tea but I now hope he crushes this corrupt system that has put the world on the edge of a precipice. The world political system needs a recalibration; globalisation has failed 99% of the populace. The 1% are taking everything & not sharing. Neoliberalism is dead and its time to build an alternative politico-economic system so that everybody enjoys the fruits of their labour. I do hope Trump carries out his pledge of "draining the swamp".
All those who dislike the likes of Trump but do not want to play fair themselves are hypocrites. We should be asking ourselves how we can spread equitably the gains of globalisation because billions of people have lost out. How can global corporations contribute to the fiscal but paying their fair share of tax? Can all the top jobs and opportunities go to the children of those who are connected in the higher echelons of power, those who come from a select few prestigious Universities. It doesn't matter how hard you work these days, the job interviewing and selection system is rigged. I can't even get a Law training contract in the UK with the so called Magic Circle Law Firms because my background doesn't fit. Our democracy has been sold to the highest bidder, it’s the corporations now deciding if I have job or food on my table. My views matter and so does the views of billions of people being ignored by the so called establishment.
Time is up and if it means electing TRUMP so be it, somebody will eventually listen.
