The Russian Vaccine Has The Best Efficacy Results But They Are Not Talking About it!The Russian vaccine “Sputnik V”

Almost all the world's leading media outlets wrote about the success of Sputnik V. And the influential business news agency Bloomberg called the Russian vaccine "the favorite in the fight against the pandemic." Moreover, more and more countries are announcing the possibility of its production on their territory.

Some publications have already reported that the development of the Gamalei Institute may receive a green light in the European Union in February. The EU's top diplomat at the talks in Moscow mentioned the success of Russian scientists.

The Bloomberg calls Sputnik a favorite in the global fight against the coronavirus and perhaps the most significant scientific breakthrough since the Soviet times. Countries are lining up for the vaccine.

The new data that Merkel, Macron, and Borrel are talking about is the publication of the results of the third phase of research on the Sputnik V vaccine in the authoritative medical journal The Lancet.
Interim results from the phase three trial showed that the vaccine was 91.6% effective against COVID-19. Moreover, the vaccine was 100% effective against the severe form of COVID-19. The vaccine was well tolerated: 45 of the 16,427 participants in the vaccinated group reported serious adverse events, all of which were found to be unrelated to the vaccine.

Richard Horton, editor-in-chief of the Lancet, noted the original approach to vaccination. Two doses of the vaccine are used. But the two doses are different. They have different adenovirus vectors. The point is that this creates a super-strong acceleration of the immune response.

The editors of the Lancet magazine emphasize the high efficiency of Sputnik V in the group of subjects over 60 years of age. And this is a weighty stone in the garden of competitors from Astrazeneca. The so-called Oxford vaccine has only recently been registered in the EU, but several EU countries have restricted its use for older populations. Among the vaccines of the traditional type, "Sputnik V", it turned out, simply has no equal. Sputnik has a 91 percent effectiveness against Astrazeneca's 62 percent and Johnson & Johnson's 66 percent.

But remember how badly it was criticized. The German tabloid Bild, for example, in January did not include Russia at all in the statistics of countries where the population is actively vaccinated against coronavirus. The logic is simple — the Russian vaccine is either bad or nothing. This logic was followed by many media outlets. And now, under the publications about the Russian miracle, they leave such comments.

"At first they said,' Haha, the Russian vaccine. Developed in such a short time. We will never be vaccinated like this in our lives. Long live European standards." It took a couple of months of unsuccessful vaccination: "Get your hands ready for the injection."
"Once they also made tanks, which worked perfectly in the heat and in severe frost. We didn't like them either."

The critics suddenly disappeared. The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev on CNN talks about the success. About 20 states have already allowed the use of Sputnik, and this list is constantly growing. And Germany is still losing out in the rate of vaccination of little Serbia. By the way, the Russian vaccine is also expected to be produced there.

Russia's undisputed success, however, is not to everyone's liking. The New York Times touches a nerve that the Russian vaccine has been bought by Mexico and Argentina. Now the Russians are accused of being high-class competitors to the United States and Europe in this part of the world. However, why aren’t they if the "Sputnik V" does really have obvious advantages. The vaccine is inexpensive and can be stored in a fridge, so it is easy to distribute. But there is still a dry version of the "Sputnik V" for use in the most remote corners of the planet.

It's amazing how cyclical the story is. In 1961 the Western Germany, as many other countries, had a polio epidemic. The USSR was the first in the world to establish the production of an effective live vaccine and by that time not only vaccinated its population, but also supplied the drug to other countries, up to Japan. The Western Germany was also offered 3 million doses of the Soviet vaccine, but the Germans refused. They preferred to wait almost a year for the American one, produced by Pfizer. These are the historical parallels. And now European politicians have a chance to make a decision, guided not by ideological considerations, but by common sense.
